MT Studio is the interior design practice of Mikayla Tuakura, a studio built around process, perspective, and creative expression. The challenge was to create a brand that could hold all of that, without boxing it in.

At the centre is a simple but powerful idea. The space between.

The wordmark becomes the foundation, with the dash acting as the meeting point between maker and studio. A quiet but intentional device that represents the space where ideas are explored, shaped, and brought to life.

From there, a flexible visual language unfolds. Type shifts, moves, and reconfigures – adapting to the enivorment around it. Elements expand and contract. Layouts create rhythm through space, not clutter. The system is designed to adapt, giving each project room to express itself while still feeling unmistakably MT-Studio.

The result is a brand that doesn’t dictate. It enables. A framework that gives creativity the space it needs to thrive.
